Jill Lauren has been teaching students with learning differences for nearly 40 years and consulting with teachers nationwide on using structured, multi-sensory approaches to teaching reading and written language. Her expertise and desire to instill a joy of reading in students at a young age inspired Whole Phonics.

Our commitment to our values occurs in a variety of ways. We support non-profits that aim to help teachers obtain materials without out-of-pocket expenses. Our parternship with ReadWorks provides Whole Phonics decodable books and supplemental non-fiction articles, all for free. Whole Phonics’ goals are rooted in social justice principles, and we are dedicated to enhancing literacy skills for all.
