In the WP UFLI 1st Grade Decodable Book Set, there are 47 books in total, split into four levels. Level one, two and three consists of 15 books, and level four has 2 chapter books.
The Level One books focus on short vowel sounds in CVC words, the Level Two books reinforce digraphs (two letters representing one sound), and the Level Three books build fluency with glued sounds and consonant-consonant-vowel-consonant (CCVC) words (i.e., beginning blends), and Level Four teaches ending blends, clusters, and compound words.
Teacher Note: Currently, the UFLI Whole Phonics decodable book sets build fluency with skills taught up to UFLI's lesson 67. As we eagerly write more books to complete our series, we will update our UFLI alignments and book sets. This means teachers will be able to incorporate additional Whole Phonics books for lessons 54 and beyond!
